walked this evening 1.5 miles, 30 minutes

hot and very muggy today, so waiting til after sunset to walk was the right idea. even then, went through an entire bottle of water just to keep cool. smile

Did 5 miles on the eliptical Friday(had to the soccor mom never stopped). Went on the mountain today to see if I could harvest a couple of Grouse, no grouse but my wifes lab chased a bear for about fifty feet then it turned around and looked at her like really do you want some of this. Finshed two hours of hiking went back to the truck. Just got on to the oil road and there was a suv parked with a little kid hanging out the window watching a small bear by the road. All in all not a bad day. I have to say 17 miles Orch you are a STUD.

I have been very slack of late, exercise wise as I have had problems at work ie. I had to do lots of it for very little money LOL.
Anyway yesterday I went for a walk with a group of people who do mountain hikes relatively often and I have always not found the time. I am determined that this september I will get involved with the group.
We did a 22km hike in 6 hours. I live on a volcanic island. So you go up or down, never flat. Legs hurt today but scenery beautiful. I´m happy I did it. Now I need to get back to the pool

your island sounds beautiful; would love to walk there with you smile

have a new rule, as the school year begins.......see how long i can make people do this........if someone wants to meet with me, instead of sitting in my office, i have been making them walk with me instead.......they think it odd, but most think it a good idea, as we all sit way way too much........just the fact that they think it odd, just goes to show what a sitting society we are here, especially in academia........easy to do now.....will be a bit more of a challenge as the weather turns colder, wetter, etc.....

Good job Lon! cheerleader And lucky Lin. yes I know what you mean about the oxy. I am going to the doctor on Thursday specifically to try and get a less obnoxious narcotic for breakthrough pain. I totally get how Frida Khalo was so creative now that I've had to take the oxycodone. Ick. sick1
