To celebrate the holiday today I ran 4.71 miles in 51:36 minutes. I did walk about a half mile. Mondays are hard days for me because I am still recovering from the MS shot. Shooting for a marathon in October.

i used to love running in my teens and 20s! gave it up before i had to, moved from where i could run on dirt to a city and the hard surfaces weren't so good for my legs. but it sure was meditative. that's ok, i just switched to new activities, but running was one of my favorites. glad you are doing it; i can appreciate how good it can make one feel cheerleader and a marathon! 1cup even when i was young, never did more than a 1/2 marathon distance: ran a 20 K walk-a-thon with 2 friends of mine while still in high school- that was fun!

I did 1600 metres in the pool today in more or less 45 minutes, which is quite good. Just got given lots of work by my boss and since I get paid by the hour I shouldn´t complain but hey when will I get back to the pool I ask!!!

Spent 10 minutes on an elliptical trainer and 20 minutes on a recumbent bike today.

When I was first diagnosed the doctor told me no more running. I didn't follow that advise, and that has been a good thing for me. At first I thought if I am not going to be able to run and ski later in life I had better do it now. Running always made me feel better.

walked what seemed like forever from one end of the hospital (where i had a doctor's appointment) to the other end of the medical school (where i have a collaborator), so kinda got my daily walk in that way. a good 30 minutes of walking total (~1 mile).

Yesterday walked 2.5 miles - 45 minutes - a bit slower because I had a low blood sugar attack and had to stop for a bit.

That's awesome. I don't think anyone realizes how much exercise there is in just daily walking. smile
