I'm going to give them a try anyway. I just realized that plums are on my do-no-eat list for the migraines. Really!?!? It almost makes me laugh how convoluted these autoimmune and neurological issues are. I'm on day 2 of no chocolate... It was my last food nemesis.

Gratulere med dagen til alle nordmenn!

That said, there is almost nothing more fun than swimming with a 4 year old. Which I did for over an hour today. No laps but plenty of work out. yes

I hope everyone is well today.

I swam 750 yds today in 18 minutes.

We were in a hurry to get to my new doctor to establish care. She's 20 YEARS YOUNGER than I am and she's really good.

It's a pain management clinic, but she's a D.O., which I like. Evidently developing an allergy to NSAIDS eliminates most of the docs in this valley. They have mostly gone on strike against treating chronic pain.

I don't know what that's about, but she found it amusing that I still have 1/2 of a bottle of oxycodone from last December. Clearly doctors even think lightweights are funny. laugh2

Plus which I have lost only 19 lbs so I didn't get flagged for rapid weight loss. Phew!

And I applied for 2 half time library jobs. I'm nervous about doing it, because I know they'll call me... but I'm not sure I can work 20 hours per week. What's the worst that can happen? I take the job and then have to quit, right? doh

And I am diagnosed as AS. I don't see why, since I'm not fusing. She said it's because of the HLA-B27 positive. Whatever....

Tori and I just got back from the gym

1 mile on the treadmill

50 reps on the outer thigh machine

50 reps on the inner thigh machine

150 reps on the sit up machine (you do it with your arms)

25 reps on the upper arms

3 miles on the stationary bike

Won't tell you how long it all took, but I did it!..lol

thanks for the update.

glad you found a doc you like.
i'm still at the point that finding docs younger than me feels odd, but as they say, better than the alternative.

this whole dx thing is rather odd. i know it shouldn't matter from doc to doc, but i've been to 6 different rheumies and have gotten 6 rather different interpretations. even the last 2 who agree i have inflammatory arthritis: the one in philly said undiff spondy, the one here i thought was saying undiff spondy, but the paperwork to get bloodwork done had a different code, i think undiff spondy doesn't have a code, so this may have been the closest code. as you said, whatever, so long as they're motivated to try to help us feel better and be more functional. smile

good luck with the job. as you said "better to have tried and found out you couldn't do it then never to have tried at all."

Last night I ran 4 miles in 40.23 minutes. I did not run Tuesday so I ran last night. Since I can not run Saturday I am running tomorrow morning. If the precipitation does not stop I will have to get the skis out. It is snowing in the mountains. I think SnowBird is the only resort left open.
