Maybe slice up lots of vegetables. I often stir fry them and add the meat.

'Then you should say what you mean,' the March Hare went on. 'I do,' Alice hastily replied; 'at least - at least I mean what I say - that's the same thing , you know.' 'Not the same thing a bit!' said the Hatter.

Hi Toria
Glad you are doing well so far.
Wilted spinach is a nice accompanyment.
And if you are eating dairy, a good handful of grated cheese on top of the mince!
I hope you have great success on the diet, hon.
Keep posting your questions yes

Tell you what I love Toria - spinnach, bedded down in a baking dish, place on top a nice fish of choice, cover with lemon juice and fresh herbs, nobs of butter over and green olives (if liked) cover with parchment paper, and bake in oven. Yummy.

A slight alternative: same prep, then grated cheese and slices of tomatoes and sliced green olives over the fish. bake in oven and for last 5 mins, remove parchment to brown the cheese. Very nice.

Get yr fishmonger to fillet the fish for you - or, can buy frozen fish. I prefer fresh fish, but don't know what you have available to you? IF can't get fresh spinnach then can use frozen. Defrost and strain - as rather watery otherwise.

Enjoy yr meal hon.

HI Toria,

My standard pasta (and rice) substitute is a bowl of mixed chopped steamed broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini. I also have a nifty little shredder thingy that I use on zucchini to make strands like spaghetti. Even a vege peeler can make zucchini ribbons - it gives a different mouth feel - variety is important on the NSD!

If you want to *guarantee* absolutely NO STARCH then you'll need to test the veges with iodine first, as some folks in Oz find the zucchinis can be starchy (especially if they're the bigger and older ones...)
