Isn't the support from friends and loved ones awesome? I almost joined a yoga class at work. I was really scared and my friends were so supportive that I was almost in tears when they weren't looking. Lucky for me the class filled up before I sent the email in finally asking to join the class. I'm still scared to be in the class and really show my friends how bad I am. I need to get over that...huh?

if you'd like to try yoga, hope you do.

i was lucky that my first yoga instructor did not just approach it as an exercise workout, but as the "spiritual" practice that it was originally intended. meaning, it is not about achievement, it is not goal oriented, it is more about self awareness, doing what we can, listening to our bodies, becoming more in tune with our bodies, and i think you are further ahead there than most people probably would be smile

when i took the class, i did the things i could do, modified what i needed to modify, opted out the the things i chose not to do, would do alternate poses at that time. and my instructor really encouraged us to do this as we needed to. about a year or so after starting the course, she left for a "spiritual journey in india" and the new instructor was much more "exercise focussed", that inner peace and tranquility was missing, so after a time, i quit the class and just continued to do the yoga on my own at home. there are some things i miss about being part of a class, but now days i do a sort of PT / yoga practice, incorporating the best of both worlds, many of the exercises / poses / stretches, etc are very very similar smile

Wednesday: walk 4 miles (80 minutes)
Thursday: walk 5 miles (80 minutes)...I was hauling!

Today was work at home day and a visit to the rheumy. She is talking about something new. This was talked about for my lower back but I when I got home I wondered if we could do that in my neck. Would this be the answer to my prayers that would allow me to ride my road bike more comfortably! I'm going to put a few more details in a little while the main forum page...at least before I go to bed.

Buggy back. Have to update but just got BACK online. Went with tmobile webstick and its just as fast as roadrunner from timewarner but only 30.00 less a month!! yahoo!!

Thursday stats: KravMaga CB 60 min. Tired and sore...but exhaused from back AND sofie threw up at school so no nap or rest had to rush to school to get her. Then lil man got sick with sour stomach. Sofie had feve but broke it with motrin and cool damp cloths on her tummy, back and forehead. she's snoozing happily but wont be in tomorrow. Too much coughing and asthma danger.

Goo teammmmmmm!!!

My best friend gets those shots in her neck every few months. I don't think it gives her more mobility, but it really helps with the pain.
