Oh what fun...hehehe So long as the wee cart with its four footed ones could manage the 23 odd miles to the hospital (let alone the 40 odd miles to the gym!! Sheesh, we'd be travelling all day...<LOL>)

Just been talking to my rehab Dr (he is sooooo nice, a 'good' person) he agrees that they weren't quite 'hacking' it for me, so is looking around for an alternative programme - perhaps just going in once a week to the hospital, starting early nxt yr (after this white stuff has done its 'thing'). We'll see what transpires.

Meantime, a 50 mins drive to get to the gym in this weather just aint on. Been snowing all day here today, and now icing over. Lethal out. Hardly any market today, just 4 stalls and no-one about. Doesn't half put a dampener on life. Grizzle-grizzle...

Very sensible, Molly.
Snowed here in the night - it's soooo cold.
Was reading your reply in main forum about snow last year and trip back to UK... we are off to UK this Christmas... I HOPE!
Last year our family had to postpone for many days until they could get on the train over. They literally had Christmas in the car... presents/food/decs the works! We were nearly sat here on our own with an orange and a lump of coal like the good ol' days.

I'm sure you have plenty to amuse yourself with on the exercise front without even needing to leave your house. Those chucks don't feed themselves for starters grin

Hi Tink!
Thanks..I feel better today. Didnt sleep much all night. sick1 Guess bug had to take one for the team from my team last night. doh laugh2

We team up with random members so my parnter was new. Very polite and all. Only thing was she was hitting before thinking. laugh2 They always remind us to look down first--simulate the kick then you can gauge how far you can knee up without actually hitting your partner. When we did our 1st drills I felt a bit uneasy because she wasnt measuring here leg once extended while I held the black back face down. I kept thinking to myself "i'm gonna get a kick...". I moved a couple inches back at that point and we were okay with long kicks.

Needless to say I now know why a kick like that can be so lethal on a male attacker! laugh2

Believe ME Erika...I saw stars flash before my eyes! no I felt uneasy with my partner with the previous drills because she'd attack before I moved in. We were taking turns simulating an attack as a bear hug--gentle of course then we grasp to their rib cage area and "space & base" which is VERY important for a woman if she is attacked. You go into your defense position of left foot forward, right foot back feet a little more than your hip length apart. That space allows you to stand your ground and harder for a possible abduction or them lifting you off the ground and hurting you. Its amazing how that simple stance can hold back a grown man. Simple techniques. I went home and showed Gianna. Art was our "attacker". laugh2

It will be motrin and blankets as soon as I drop off Gianna in 10 minutes! roll Goooo Erika! cheerleader Go team!! clap
