yeh, they gave me those glasses, wore them with my sunglasses on the way home, but what a pain, as they don't really fit, so waited til it was almost dark to go for a walk, it was kinda cool because though it was almost dark, looked very bright to me, kind of like being an owl or something! grin2

you've been to some beautiful places and taken some beautiful photos! yes

never give up the dream, you never know!

i so missed walking the year i could barely walk from my car in the parking lot into my building at work (ok, 5 months like that, but no walks for a year) and so missed the use of my left hand for 2-3 years (its still not 100% but at least i can use it now for daily tasks).

we're all different, but you really just never know what lies ahead. thus, there is always hope. especially as the swimming does seem to make you better and better over time. i have hope for you! rainbow

and when you can get back to an activity, even a mundane daily activity, you appreciate it in a way you never thought was possible. i always enjoyed walking, now it feels like a freedom i can't even describe! i feel like such a prisoner of this body when i can't even take a simple walk. so when i can, i totally appreciate it smile

Todays run: 8.63 miles, 1:39 minutes. It took so long today because I walked a little more than 1/2 mile. I ran on a new trail that they put in town. It will go all the way up to the American Fork canyon.

Great job every one on executing your exercise plans, and thanks Erica for putting this page together.

I've never been given black lenses after dilation of my eyes, never. Neither here nor in the UK. Last time I had my eyes dilated I drove home, mind you it wasn't far, but drove home. And the time before I drove home in a white out with half inch ice on the ground - fun, not! Especially as I'd forgotton my GPS and got horribly lost. Took 2.5hrs to get back. That was a wretched drive.

No, never heard of black lenses after dilation, and, I have to have a double dose of dilation drops as my pupils are titchy-tiny, don't dilate easily and take forever 'to' dilate. Quelle extraordinaire!

Fellow I know over here has a recliner bike, he goes everywhere on it. Very strange machine, and soooo low on the ground, looks dangerous to me. I would'nt ride one that's for sure.

Hi TEAM! smile

Today I went for a 3 mile walk on the Olympic Discovery Trail. We started at Railroad Bridge Park in the snow and 34F. It was pretty!

There's a "team" who walks in solidarity for our friend who was paralyzed in a fall on October 2nd, and this is the first time I felt like my ankles/knees/hips could handle it.

Everyone else walked 6 miles, but my husband turned me around 1/2 way just to be safe, and walked me back to the truck. Curiously he thinks I tend to over do... hmmm. confused2

So, after my walk I had to soak a bit and take 1/4 pain pill, but tonight I feel pretty good. I'm not getting my hopes up, but it felt GOOD to be out in the trees and smell the fall leaves again. Sigh...

Go TEAM! clap
