Well - I caught hubby's cold that he imported from the UK! Coped with that but now, two weeks later, I've developed pretty acute sinusitis and I'm feeling really sick. Fever, pain, the lot.

I'm anxious that this is as bad as it is because I'm on mtx. I didn't take my weekly dose tonight and hoping I can get in to see my doc in the morning - Saturday? Who knows...

Thanks Kevin - just got back from the Doc. He's given me four weeks of antibiotics. He suggested I skip one week's mtx.

Seems like it's a pretty severe attack of acute sinusitis. Not just affecting my sinuses but my ears and eyes as well. Miserable.

Sorry to read this....skipping only one week? That's good (as opposed to being off it all the month you are on the antibiotics) and hope you don't have several bad days from having to skip a dose.

If you have a neti pot, this would be a great time to use it. Sinus infections suck, big time....hurt behind the eyes and into the ears is brutal. Hugs to you.

Hope you are doing better now, Wendy.

When you posted this, I was struggling with congestion, but not enough to go to the doctor (imo). Now I've got a rip-roaring sinusitis, too. Started Biaxin today. Saw a different doctor than my usual one. He looked back at the string of antibiotics I took last winter (the 3 months of sinusitis) and picked the last one to start me on. (Bless his heart) Guess that means I'm skipping mtx tonight. Had to skip 2 weeks ago and hurt like the dickins. Still hurting a lot even though I took it last week. I know it's working when I stop it and feel like [*bleep*]. Thinking about calling off work tonight, but know we are short-handed....<sigh>
