Way to go! A pool is usually either 25 or 50 meter or yards depending upon the country. One lap is 50 meters/yards also depending. By my calculations you swam 1200 yds! I count my total yards ant also time to make it easier for our team scorekeeper, the wonderful Tinkerbell:)

Go TEAM! clap

Oh Sue22 smile on the contrary, this is the ultimate 'us against AS' competition! We'll swim, walk, bike, KM, yoga, tai chi, stretch that pain demon right down to the mat! And then we'll laugh loudly and proclaim "WE WIN SUCKER" while making the AS monster say uncle and snivel for mercy! HooAh! Oh yeah...

Go TEAM clap

My stats for this morning:

swimming 1,050 yds / 35 minutes
laughter yoga / 25 minutes

prep for colonoscopy tomorrow... 6 hours... Grrrrrrr mad
at least when it's done tomorrow I'll only have 10 more days until I can start LDN!

Go TEAM! clap

PS my sister is taking me to the pool tomorrow after the procedure. Pray I don't drown while under the influence of fentanyl. Seriously, I'll wear a floaty belt and there are lifeguards wink

good luck with colonoscopy!

if you need a procedure such as this done again while on LDN, propofol was a great alternative that could be used with the LDN. my GI doc is a genius! kind too smile

the drugs shouldn't last in your system too long, at least for me that is true, by the time they let me leave the hospital, drugs mostly out of my system, at least the effects seemed to be.

prep is the worst part, the procedure and after easy peasy in comparison....if you've done this all before then you know all of this already.

Oh yes! Been here done this before. My mama dies of colon cancer at 57, so I and my siblings are sentenced to every 5 years from age 45 onward. Yippee!

sorry to hear about your mom, and sorry you have to go through this every 5 years, but if it prevents colon cancer, then we gotta do what we gotta do, so does sound like if the LDN works out, in another 5 years you may be trying to figure out how to do the procedure's drugs and continue on the LDN. i was all set to go off it for a bit, but the doctors and i didn't know how long and my GI doc wanted to be extra careful, he certainly didn't want the fentanyl to not work during the procedure, and his idea to use the propofol was a wonderful solution. now i know for all future procedures.

cheers,

sue
