sometimes when i overdo the stretching i think it is causing me some pain(headache)in both my temples

upperback and neck stretches mostly

ps the pain is real,it's just that i THINK the stretching is to blame.anyone else?

oh yes precisely, often and for years. Typically AS, but, keep stretching, painful but valuable.

Could be you're pushing the stretches too much in an already inflamed area. Try easing back on the stretches in your neck/shoulder area. Only go into the stretch until you feel the barest of pull, deep breathe slowly 3 or 4 times, then ease out of the stretch. If that's too much, then do plain range of motion in that area until a light stretch no longer hurts.

Not a daft question at all. No such thing, really. smile

Hugs,

Kat

Also, use ice.

I hate ice. But my PT has told me MANY times to use it, it reduces inflammation. Good luck!

When I first read it, I thought you had a draft problem LOL laugh2

I agree with the others. Stretching is great and a must for us but don't over do it. Frequent light stretches I feel are better than big stretches.
