OK, I'll fess up... I got a drum kit for Christmas. My husband plays guitar and we've been playing together every night since Christmas... that said, the longest I've been able to sit at it is 45 minutes, but still...

CC, that's very cool!! You'll work up the amount of time you can play. Just be kind to yourself and you'll be drumming for hours before you know it!!

Warm hugs,

Kat

Jeepers Sue, I can't name that many drummers of either sex! You're plenty knowledgeable!

Thanks for the encouragement Kat, I am slowly putting in more time... the crazy thing is I'm actually getting better! I really love it!

speaking of female drummers, did you read that white stripes is pretty upset right now with the armed forces using a song of theirs without their permission in a superbowl ad. i don't know any of the details, just something i was reading in the news.

I did know! Weird choice on their part anyway.... it's a song called 'fell in love with a girl'... I can't see how this is a 'rally the troops to fight' song. Why didn't they stick with Franz Liszt or bagpipes... that's worked for years and years and without the copyright issues, right?

Hi,

I play guitar and trumpet in church and cornet in a brass band.

My chest expansion is worse than it should be and I hope this does not affect my playing in future. Playing a brass instrument may even help as it is a kind of breathing exercise.
My fingures feel a bit like sausages some days as well.

Jon
