Hi Tracey and hi everyone.

I'm a lurker whose done a lot of taking from this fantastic forum and has not yet given anything back. Tonight I decided this should change. I have improved greatly from a few years on a LSD/NSD and now my mum has decided to take on the challenge as well! Anyway, I thought i'd add my experiences to the mix. Mangoes shouldn't be too starchy in Melbourne as they've just come from the NT or QLD. I've had a couple this week and have been OK but I won't be overdoing it. Dates on the other hand are soemthing that I can't tolerate at all. I figured it was the sugars - they are so sweet. I, like so many here, have a problem with sugar. A diabetic friend says that dates have a sugar they can't eat, whereas other fruit are OK - so perhaps it's something to do with that?

Re idodine - it's usually sold as Betadine in Australia and you should be able to find it under that name in any chemist.

Kylie

Hi Kylie

Its so funny you should mention Betadine, as my husband said the same thing about iodine yesterday.Thank you for that info! Also your update on mangoes and dates too

Cheers TraceyB
