Oh Lisa, thank you, I double checked with my rheumy and given Dad's history with that case of Nisseria Menigitidis...no way, it took 10 days to culture out and the hospital had to track down over 300 people to treat them for exposure to it...a first in hospital history but it has an 80% mortality rate for young healthy people....so, I don't know....and I know you're there for me, God Bless Ya....God Bless You All!!

Oh goodness Michelle...
I can't imagine your loved one being sick and you not being to be there for him.
Ok, here is an idea if the nurses would help could someone loan a laptop and put the camera on top and fix it for him to where you could be on and the picture would be on him, even if he cant talk or communicate even if he could see you or even just hear you talking to him..that is just a thought.
I know you will but please keep us updated and I know how sad and stressful this is but make sure you take care of yourself..rest, fluids, eat ect..

That's not a bad idea Lisa....I can get one of the kids to do that...they've got him on a C-PAP machine...no sputum to culture still....thanks, big hugs, my friend...

Yes, mamllama, I will absolutely admit that it's really starting to get to me....this morning I took my coffee and went outside and grabbed the paper, then sat out back with the dogs, my usual morning routine...well, I saw that Minnie Walker, Mom's pastor's Mother had passed away, she was 100 yrs. young and I thought, oh I need to call Mom and tell her and immediately it threw me into a sobbing fit that lasted most of the morning and then I got the call about Dad....it just seems like NOTHING has been right since the '05 hurricanes....and I'm trying so very hard not to feel sorry for myself and to remember that God has a plan but my goodness, I'm afraid that I'm going to wind up in a rubber room.....
