If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

hi Ben. Thanks for the post. Those are some high percentages!! Infections 72%, whoa. Abdominal pain is much less than I thought it would be. take care, James.
HLA-B27+, JRA diagnosis in 1981, re-diagnosed as AS in 1988. Also iritis, colitis, and psoriasis. NSD + low carb helps me. My health makes it hard for me to post in a timely way.

Ben, I took MTX for 7 yrs. I got infections from even paper cuts. I had to bandage every tiny cut and use neosporin until they healed. If I forgot, even a paper cut would wake me up throbbing that night. Funny, despite risk of infection, I haven't had a single one since switching to enbrel (fingers crossed) around 4 yrs ago.

Hi Ben,
I thought methotrexate was hard on the liver as well. I recall my doctors stating it was not an option for me after i had liver issues with azulfadine.

Ben, like others, I love you as a good brother. It nearly killed me with the swollen brain.

Hi I am new to the board My daughter is 14 and on MTX she had some of these same side effects with the pills but switched to the injections . It has eliminated her side effects almost completely , of course obviously she needs to be careful not to expose herself to sick people . Her side effects were not as serious as some of those listed but when she was feeling really awful after a pill dose and was throwing up and exhausted I asked her if it was worth it and she replied that the joint pain was so much worse that it was. so I keep my fingers crossed and pray that the injections will continue to work ,that her side effects will stay away and that she will go into remission and that there will be no long lasting problems from the MTX. But when you have a kid that really could not even walk and then a few months later is playing sports again you really do jump on the cure ....other inflammatory medicines helped but none like the MTX so now she takes both it really has worked wonders for her... but scares me terribly
