If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I know everyone is different but I was just wondering on average how much weight a person looses when starting this diet. Just kinda curious.

Hi Sherri. I have been on the diet for 7 months, and within the first three months I lost about 25 lbs [I started at 128 lbs, and I have been weighing about 100-105 lbs for the last 4 months or so]. I am only 5 feet tall so I feel that I am at a fairly healthy weight for me right now.
I think one of the reasons I lost so much weight so quickly is because prior to NSD all I ate was starch! I didn't eat healthy at all [although I thought I was]. Going NSD totally changed my diet to one based on veggies, meat, and healthy fats, in that order.
I now make sure that I am eating enough healthy fat in order for my body to function properly. I also do not want to lose any more weight.
Cheers, Rita

I have probably lost 5lbs, but I was already slendor. Energy and weight were issues for me early on.

I was a bit overweight and had cut out soda and alot of snacks and had lost about 10lbs, after starting the diet I lost about another 10lbs and eat alot more now but my appitite is much greater . I was concerned at first about weight loss but I think as long you eat meals your body will maintain a Normal weight. I could stand to loose another 20

Some ten years ago, before Crohn, AS and NSD I used to be 85kg. During my Crohn years 00-05 I lost weight, during the big flare 05 I lost 10kg in 1-2 months to 65 kg. Now on NSD I am stable on 70-75kg, and it is impossible to gain any further weight w/o starches. I'd love to gain a little more weight... but not at the expense of eating starches...
Cheers Andreas

Hey Andreas----I am sure if you wanted to gain a little more weight you could do so just by upping your fat intake. I've read on more than one post here at KickAs about a dutch guy who ate a cup of butter every morning! [Yuck! but I bet it works!!]
Also, my daughter is constantly needing weight added to her mass, and to do so we really add a lot of good fats to her food. She is encouraged to consume lots of yogurt, butter, mayo, etc. It should work for you too.
Cheers, Rita

Hi Rita hmm, you'd be surprised if you knew what amounts of fat I consume Large chunks of butter to every meal, a dl of creme fraiche for snacks, and always I buy the fattest cheeses I find. Mmm, delicious cream cheeses... With NSD, energy comes from burning fat, eh. Cheers Andreas
