If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

James, the only thing I would add to the great advice you've already received is to add a probiotic to your daily regime. There's one called Bio-K that is fabulous (even if it does taste nasty). It's a fermented milk product similar to yoghurt, but it's so good for you that it's the one cow dairy product I was allowed to continue with by my naturopath when she took me off cow dairy. Much to my tastebuds' distress. Hugs,
Kat

Hi Maggie, Sorry, It's a home gym. Here's a picture of it.. I'm losing strength in my arms, legs, and back so I hope I'm able to use this machine. I don't have enough stamina for a bicycle or a treadmill, because my heart goes pitter patter, and my legs and back give out on me too much. But I hope to get these in time too. Take care, James.

Hi Dave, I haven't seen you around in a while. How have you been? Me, same old story, but at least now I am finally seeing a neurologist. I have no reflexes left, couldn't feel pain when he poked me with pins, and they also found nerve damage in my arms. In 2 days I get to hear about the results from mt CT scans of my neck and head. Maybe I'll get that surgery after all, because I know I have real nerve damage, and not some Anxiety related pains like my rheumy was afraid of. Btw, problems with my anxiety meds was the reason I was referred to this neurologist, and I'm hoping to take care of both matters at the same time.
And also, thanks for the tip on the UC. I think my UC seems to be fine, but if it can cause problems with the whole GI tract, than maybe I will go request the Upper GI leak test, and the upper and lower endoscopies. Hopefully they will see something wrong, not just a small case of acid reflux, that way I can get the right meds. Although, I have been following everyone's advice, and the problem is starting to go away. But if it gets worse, I will head over to my gastro doctor.
Thanks for the advice, James.

Thanks Tim, I'm using the steaming method now, for the few veggies I have attempted to eat raw. It seems to help plenty. Thanks James

Hi Kat, I almost didn't see your reply. Sometimes I get a little lost in the forum, even in my own topics. I haven't tried anything like Bio-K or probiotics before, but I think I know of a place where I can find them. I tried a half glass of skim milk today, and it didn't seem to bother me at all. It used to bother me, but I have been following everyone's advice, and that's been helping a lot. (thanks for the great advice everyone.) Thanks for the advice Kat, I'll be sure to see if we can find some probiotics. On payday, I'm going to see if I can get myself into the stores to help out with the shopping. Thanks James.

Hi Timo.
What did the Doc prescribe for you with Gerd?
I had a stomach survey with a camera and they found an ulcer which, with the pain, I already knew the ulcer was there. I have been put on Nexium which is great. Only one week of taking it and no more pains.
The down side is that with my stomach, with very little of it left, I will have to take the Nexium till they plant me somewhere. Since I need to make sure that in taking most painkillers to deal with my neuropathy problems, I need to take the Nexium twice a day for the rest of my life. The Nexium coats the ulcers and the major inflamation areas and doesn't let the painkillers touch the sensitive areas of the stomach.

Hiya James,
the things they put us through eh? anxiety or fibro or IBS....anything but the root cause.
I've been avoiding the computer as much as I can, cause the neck gets locked up quick and the neuro stuff starts up....I've been on Prexige a new nsaid for about 5 weeks for 4-5 days a week and my gut is handling it, 7 days a week is upper gastro and the start of the UC stuff but it's making quite a difference. I'm still working out how much I should do before I get too much of a reaction and really it's not much more but at least I can sit for a while and hold a conversation for a while, been walking much better as well. But I get too cocky and it's spiteful...
I hope things go ok for you James keep us posted and I've got my fingers crossed for you.
Dave

Hi Dave,
Maybe I need a break from the computer too, cause somehow I didn't see your reply. Ouch, sorry to hear about your neck getting stuck like that with the neuro problems with it. But I'm glad to hear that you're getting some pain relief from the Prexige, but with the GI problems and UC, it doesn't sound like you having such a great time. As long as your getting some relief and walking better, I'm happy for you and I'm glad it's starting to help.
My digestion problem is already gone now, so that's one problem out of the way. Right now it's the 2nd, so I have to see the neurolgist today at 3pm. I hope with the CT scans he will see something wrong, because I'm sure I have some pinched nerves up in there. All of my doctors suspected it, but they always think that there's more to it than "Just AS".
I hope you feeling better soon too. And thanks again for your support and advice.
Take good care Dave.
James.
