((Rita)) I "think" I knew about your liver. You know my brain on "stress". I see the gastro on Monday for a follow-up on my liver, redoing scans and making a decision about a biopsy. I just don't think I can do that right now. Too much going on. I had a message reminding me of my appt. late this afternoon that it is Monday a.m. and I never even made an appt. but I knew they were going to schedule a follow-up and probably already have the ultra-sounds scheduled.

Tylenol, ibuprofen, etc. can do a number on your liver. I have a dear friend who had 2 liver transplants from too much tylenol and she thought it was the safest thing she could take. No one had told her the maximum amount a day to take. That is one reason when you reach a certain amount of Lortabs, etc. if it doesn't work, they move you on to a more potent med; because of the amount of tylenol.

Lisa, I have LOTS of tummy problems. It was first attributed to the Lupus and vasculitis and then I just have a lot of different "colitis" (the lump-all diagnosis). Just be sure you get your colonoscopies, etc. done regularly. I know my fibro causes lots of things and I don't know how they know where one ends and the other begins. I guess it doesn't really matter just so they fix it.

Have a good one.

Hi Possi,
I was just curious...I didnt know you could have a lot of different colitis?? I thought it was one particular type and it could possible get worse to a more serious type. In least that was the understanding from my Gastro doc. She told me I have non-specific colitis and at the time I was checked for ulcerative and chrons. She also has me get checked ever year because of the chronic inflammation in my stomach/small intestine and bleeding that there is always the possibility that it could develop to chrons or ulcerative.

Of course nothing suprises me anymore. Hope you are doing well my dear.....sitting here relaxing after double soccer games and my son with enough energy for 10 small children. lol

hugs]]]

Hi Ladybug,

I don't know. My gastro just told me that "colitis" was a catch-all term for problems in your intestines and it could be diverticulitis all the way up to the serious stuff like the Crohn's. I was diagnosed with colitis and it was the vasculitis from Lupus in my intestines. I know I called him once and told him my "colitis" was acting up and then he said, "What do you mean colitis? We have to know exactly what it is." and that is when I got the "catch-all" phrase.

I am smiling thinking about you and your little ones. Some of the best times of your life.

I am ok. I have quite a story to share but just haven't gotten myself ready to do it yet. I am in a lot of pain in my right leg. It is in my groin and severe in my thigh and in my lower back. I think it is muscular. The dose pack has done nothing for it.

I am scheduled to go back to the gastro on Monday but I am thinking about cancelling. Sometimes enough is just enough and I just don't think I want the scans right now and the possibility of the biopsy. Just don't want to deal with it.

Hope you are having a good weekend. We had a good evening. The kids and one grand were here for pizza and football. I am into pizza but not particularly football except we were playing TX so that is more exciting. )
It was fun but they have baled out because of getting up early for church and our grand called after she left and had run into a bunch of friends at Starbucks and invited them home with her so they had to go be there. Not allowed to have kids over without them at home. I am glad of that.

Hope you rest well.

Hey there !
Wow, that is interesting. When I saw my GI years ago she first did the scope to rule out diverticulitis and she hoped that it would not be ulcerative because i bleed when i flare from it and she was afraid that would be the case b/c of my small intestine. she didnt believe it was polyps or anything else. But with the biopsy she was able to rule the others out and just said we will check annually to make sure it never gets worse. Which I would rather be safe than sorry. I have a dx of non specific colitis, IBS, and gastritis. The colitis attacks are the worse with getting flushed sharp terrible pains to wanting to pass out period.

My little ones were crazy today. Art goes in at 2 on the weekends and ALL of Giannas games were in the afternoons this season and it's crazy. LUCKY for me grandma and grandpa came after all ...to save the day!!! Robert is awesome with the kids my stepdad and they love him to pieces. It was 2 games in a row so I was pooped out but I never get tired of cheering for Gianna. She was in her prime in her 2nd game even if they didnt win...those boys that smirked before will remember #14 after they actually played against her. lol

Pizza!! I miss that so much!! The tomato sauce aggravates my stomach problems.
Sounds like a good night. I used to be the only grandkid that would stay at my grannys over night on sundays...early mass. BUT i knew we'd go get tacos afterwards..momma didnt raise no fool

Tell me your story when you have time...rest up my dear....lots of love..bugsy

Hi Lisa

I too have AS and Fibro - the Fibro is giving me a really hard time right now, flaring big time. I feel for you as I know how it is. There seem to be few people here who suffer from only one thing - most seem to have multiple problems of some kind. IBS is a common problem with Fibro and yes, I have it too - I do agree with the person who suggested Benefibre - it is well worth trying - cuts down on a lot of the colitis pain.
Any time you want to PM that is fine.
Hope you feel better soon
Di
