Hiya
For those who can eat pumpkin, i'm wondering if they'd also be able to tolerate vegetables like butternut and buttercup squash, and spaghetti squash. ?
thanks
alicia

I know tim said he had troubles with pumpkin in an old thread. Last time I ate it I was surprised to find it aggrevating my eczema (practically any carb' will make it worse *sigh*). I can't remember whether I reacted much, but I think their was a small reaction similar to with white rice.

My mother made spagetti squash for me once... I only had a little thinking it was starchy. Did not notice much afterwards, but I did not have much, so probably not a good test.

I do not test with iodine either... have always listened to my body to evaluate.

aloha, alicia

i'm not an nsd'er, but there's a great list at the top of this very page 'starch contents of foods'
it uses all the english names for things and seems a bit obsessed with 'prepared' foods, but it has great info.
not all squashes are the same...gourds are a little different than zucchini's.

best of luck
aloha Ben
