"Gentlemen prefer Blondes, but always marry brunettes"

I married a blonde first then married a brunette, must be something to that statement.

Hey Oak,

That would surely be a great day. Funny you should mention that being what you would do as I wrote a poem last year that pretty well says the same thing.

A Flicker

My hands tremble each time I try to write.
So many thoughts and memories as I lay awake each night.
What will it take for me to sleep?
Surely not the old fashion way of counting sheep.
My heart grows heavier with each passing day.
What will it take for these feelings to go away?

There was a great love I once knew.
My blood now runs not red, but like my feelings, blue.
Time has now become an emeny of mine.
I can not recover for there shall be no sign.
Some form of closer may help, I think not.
As I walk through this life alone like a thoughtless robot.

Talk of great wars are covered on the evening news.
I wish I could go I have nothing left in my world to loose.
But, then again I wouldn't want to be responsible for others.
I couldn't bear being the fault for the death of my brothers.
The pain I would feel would bring a tear to my eye.
But, then again with my brothers I would die.

I pray for courage at the end of each day.
With that courage I will find a way.
I have but a few things to finish, then nothing more.
Then you can add me to the list with others before.
Truth be known I have no desire.
I am but a flicker of what was once a fire.

Brent

I don't remember not hurting either. I would spend the day with my husband doing all the many things that we wish we could do. Of course, that would mean he also would have to have a day without pain.

Such simple words and filled with so much emotion. Maybe the rest of my family won't notice my tears.

May all your dreams and wishes come true Rebecca.

Hugs,

Hi,

It was the title of a a book I picked up cheap at a railway station years ago, the book is double sided and written by the author in the sense of a fictional narrative.

the one half is when she was a blonde, it's all frivolous blonde stuff, then she changed to a brunnette got married and the tone changes to a smart organsier........

Not the best book, but it made me laugh!

David

Now Ben, the question was "what," not "who!"

LOL

Hey Joyce,

I see your head filled with many things at the thought of you and your husband having a pain free day. That is what happened when I got asked the question, there was way to many things to fit into a day, but it sure would be fun trying to work them all in for one day.

Have a good one,
Brent
