If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Maggie. It makes you scratch your head doesn't it? Why would tehy pay $200 per seat plus and not use them? If they want to be entertained and hob nob, go to the ballet or a stage presentation. If they want to sip brandy, go to a fancy bar or restaurant. As for the Alfredsson signing, whew! At least he won't end up in T.O. That would mean I'd have to cheer for him. But as we hockey fans know, signing an upcoming free agent doesn't mean they will stay with that team. It could be another GM has a deal in place but wanted him locked into a contract so they would know how much his salary would be. Budgets play a big roll now in signings. But for the Sens sake I hope he stays there. Your new owner seems willing to spend on payroll, which I'm sure is a huge relief to Sens fans. I liked Bryden though. He was stuck with a really bad deal from the Gov't. The municipal, provincial, and federal gov'ts are reaping the benifits of having a team out in the middle of no where Kanata, through all the taxes the Sens must pay, all the extra jobs... and made the poor guy pay for the ramps coming from, and going to, the 417! If that meant the Sens owned the ramps they should have been allowed to close them on nights there was nothing going on in the Corel Centre. To be completely honest, Ottawa is my second team. Should the Leafs get knocked out then I cheer for the Sens. Hey! At least they're here in Ontario. After that it's any Canadian team. Should there not be any Canadian teams, I look at who's left and figure out which one I dislike the most and cheer for the other team. With the possibility of a season void of any hockey, I'm going to catch as many games as I can. No one said life would be easy, just worth it.

Funny story - My last boss gave me 2 tickets to a Sens game. They were right behind the Sens' bench - fabulous !!!!!!! I couldn't help but notice though that all the seats around were half empty. My boss was a nasty sarcastic SOB sometimes. At a later date he jeeringly pointed out what good tickets he gave me and that I usuually have to sit in the cheap seats. I said that's ok because all the real fans sit in the cheap seats. The good seats are filled with people who arn't even interested in the game.
OOPS - didn't go over too well.

Well, three down and still without a loss. The only problem is that those pesky Sens keep pace with us. They sure got lucky last night. I don't understand your boss, was he upset because he felt you were telling him that HE wasn't interested in the game? Oh well, sometimes the truth hurts. You know, it is VERY possible that the Leafs and Sens will meet in the first round, it will all depend on what Boston does. Then it will come down to who has home ice advantage. Since we are going to win our last two games, including the Sens game on Saturday, we'll get home ice advantage. This is a very exciting finish to the season. Yup, the Leafs won again last night. They showed perserverance when they were down 2-0. But the Sens pulled out a huge OT win. So, things are shaping up for a TO-Sens playoff series. That will be some excellent hockey.
I'm wondering if they'll just give Detroit the cup and forget the playoffs. Just a joke - it's just that Detroit is only an hour or so over the border from me. And there is lots of stuff on the radio, etc... Hockeytown already has their parade route planned.
And Maggie, your poor boss! It must be tough being able to afford those tickets. At least he gave you some tickets though.

The good seats are usually filled with "suits" Half of these people probably don't even know what event they are at......what a waste of a ticket!
If you ever want to have fun at a hockey game....the "Cheap Seats" are where you want to be! ...you can't see much...but it a heck of a lot of fun!

Actually though, at the corel centre, the cheap seats still have quite a good view. It was designed very well and I'm sure it seats a lot less than the Air Canada Centre right ? You're so right - good seats are full of suits. Are all you leaf fans ready for us to kick your butts in the first round ? Maggie

We're always ready, but it never happens! I guess the Sens aren't ready! I attended a Sens game at the Corel Centre a few years ago in thre cheap seats. I think I was third or fourth row from the top. They were playing Vancouver and Damian Rhodes recorded his first career shut-out. We had this guy behind us, I'll never forfet it, everytime Radek Bonk touched the puck he started yelling, "Bonk! Bonk! Bonk!" (I guess he was a Flintstones fan too. There was one episode, I can't remember if it was when Fred was in a diet group or not, but the members would go around yelling Bonk! Bonk!... ) Then this guy behind us would taunt the Vancouver goalie with, "Corey! Your dinner's ready!" All game! I was hoping that he would loose his voice part way through the game, but he didn't. Oh well. The seats weren't bad, but it was a steep climb! No one said life would be easy, just worth it.

Hey Maggie,
How difficult is it to get a ticket...tickets to a Sens game? Can you just walk up to the ticket window and purchase one?? I imagine during the playoffs it's unlikely...but during the regular season??

I'm not sure about this year, but do you remember last year there was a ban on selling playoff tickets to Leaf fans? All this discrimination against Leaf fans, I just don't get it. No one said life would be easy, just worth it.
