If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi there - I'm getting to this a couple of days late. I just wanted to wish you well and hope that you can figure out what to do with your &%*!!!^%$ pain. Like you, I tend to go the holistic route myself just to minimize long-term side effects. So, I think you are on the right track that way... I do take a couple of prescription meds - lexapro for depression and an occasional flexeril that seems to help me sleep if too much is hurting. Thinking of you. Love - Helen

Hi Everyone. Just wanted to let you know that, while I'm not feeling 100%, I'm at least feeling better than I was. Pulling myself out of the mire, with alot of help from my friends. Still can't meet people's eyes, but I can smile and I even pulled 'tude with one of the guys here at the office a few minutes ago. Thank you so much. I don't know what I would've done the last couple of days without you all, and my mom and my friend Kerry. There's still a ways to go, but at least now I think I might make it. Many hugs, Kat

Hi Kat! Glad to hear that you can feel yourself starting to get back on track again! And I think it's important that one feels able to pull a little 'tude now and again! Yep, you're gonna get a little stronger with each day forward, so hang in there! Many and more hugs to you! mig

Hi, I don't know anything about bone scans, but I can tell you that I, too, was diagnosed with FMS. I think the theory goes that it can come along as a secondary issue from the stress of another illness. If I were you, I'd ditch the psych. I don't want anything to do with anyone who suggests that any of my pain is in my head. Ik! Though fibromyalgia is the "illness du jour" that doesn't mean that you or anyone doesn't actually suffer from it. Let me ask you this... Do you feel like you've been hit by a truck? Or got the crap beat out of you? That's fibro in a nutshell. Often antidepressants can actually help fibro. For what that was worth, good luck and don't give up. erin

DO NOT let anyone tell you it is depression. You know my story so I won't elborate. Blood tests normal, x-rays normal. My pain was "out of proportion" for what was happening to me(direct quote from more than one doc), then mysteriously the next set of x-rays I had, possibly 2 yrs later, shows complete fusion almost everywhere. But oh no, I had no imflammation, IAIYH. I am afraid to say that until you see x-ray changes you will have to deal with all these crazy docs. And FM is very common in AS patients. I can't remember the exact stats but my rheumy said they were high. I hope you can get some help from someone so you can put an end to your horrible suffering. No one deserves to suffer the way you are not even my worst enemy ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) Simone

Greetings Inanna Wishing you luck and strength A good acupuncturist who knows his/her business can do alot to treat pain as well as doing alot with mental stress/pain. I've been told professionaly, that, "No, I have beautiful hips" Don't give a drat what they look like, would prefer ugly hips (guess thats on the way) to painful ones....... Things don't show up on x-rays for years and years, by which time,,,,,,,,,,,, I've had extremely bad reactions to chiropractors. Like the philosophy, it doesn't like me or AS. Being in extreme pain for long time and NOT understanding it can be a sure recipee for depression. Some snowballs can be dangerous as they build up in size, so any relief, short or long term has to have some merit. Pain is NOT in your head, but left untreated can effect your mind and confidence. What ever you can do to work in your favour is good. Breathing exercises and creative visualization can help. Trust your gut instincts and keep up the good work and hang in there

Hi Kat, Hope you are feeling better after the weekend. Sometimes just time away from the stress of work can help a little, though I know it will not make the pain go away. I was off for 11 months and the pain didn't just go away. Keep positive and get a plan of action that will work for you. There is one out there for you, you just need the right combination. It may take time but you will get there. Take care. Debbie There is no drug stronger than a good attitude.

Hey all. I'm really tired today. Haven't slept well the last few nights. Not sure if it's pain, the new med or my dratted cat. I'm pretty fogged out, regardless. Still really low. I can see the humour or the positive stuff, just can't respond to it. Takes too much energy or something. My family doctor called on Saturday morning. She wants me to talk to my psych and tell her not to shoot the messenger on the FM thing. To tell her that I need her support in this. She also told me that if I do have FM, the anti-depressant will do more good than tylenol. Since I started the anti-d I've been taking less tylenol, actually. Usually in late afternoon and evening. Had a melt-down Saturday after my dance class. Doing the dishes and wham. Tried to come here, but it turns out that the phone line for my internet connection has come unwired, so no online from home until I figure out which screw head each wire connects to. Anyway, just wanted to check in and let you all know I'm still here and I'm so grateful for all of you. Hugs, Kat
