If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Dear Friends, I am sorry to let you guys know that my pain levels have increased after the apple diet. Now they are in between 2 and 3.I find this so confusing as I had less pain levels when I was on NSD and suddenly in 3 days the level has increased.Did anyone experience something like this or know what might cause it?Now I am back to serious NSD since today.
Any input would be great. Thanks Fighter

Hi, Fighter:
One bad trend these days is that most fruit is delivered to the stores many days before being fully ripe. You could test the apples for starch content using the iodine--let is sit for a few minutes to see whether a color change. If so, that might contribute to the problem you have. I usually do the apple diet in-season, but did not think that there was so much starch in apples that this factor might cause a problem for us.
Sorry that you did not have the great results that most of us have,
John

Fighter, I had the same experience as you after the apple diet with increased pain. I stopped taking my NSAIDS during the 3 days and was very sore. Dragonslayer provided me with some ideas as to why this happened -- I think he said that a course of antibiotics might help or that a profuse Candida colony could be responsible. My physician would not prescribe antibiotics so I have not been able to test this. I think that Prof. Ebringer also talked about antibiotics in reply to one of the questions asked of him and then posted by Dragonslayer here. Hope this helps in knowing that you are not alone. Keep up the fight. Stephanie Postscript: looks like Dragonslayer was replying to you the same time I was . Like I said, I think this is what he told me and I hope he will correct me if I have recalled incorrectly. Edited by sam on 07/07/03 10:45 PM (server time).

I looked forward to the late summer, autumn here as in-season apples are definitely best - Cayce recommended the early crops, Jonathon derived varieties. The fast-breaking food is important - i reacted badly to avocado for obscure reasons, but lighter food seems better and probably not many sugars, including fruit sugars. Vegie soups, broths and salads maybe best. Ted "No illness that can be treated by diet should be treated by any other means." Maimonides 12th Century

Dear friends, Thankyou for all the support and help extended.I have been disappointed but not discouraged by the diet results.I shall do my next cleansing during the apple season as suggested and see how it goes.I will keep you guys posted when I am set to do it.
Day 2 after the fast: Pain is settling down(1-2).I have been feeling very weak and tired ,and sleeping long hours after the fast.I am following a strict NSD(no yogurt and no eggs).

Fighter, why no yogurt and no eggs? If you are weak and tired it seems foolish to eliminate foods which are nutritious and have no starch.

Hi Bilko, I was feeling tired and decided to have some eggs last night and today morning the dull pains have returned. So now I think I was complaining all the time for the dull pains is because of the eggs.I also have a feeling that I will react the same for yogurt ,I will test in 2 days and see what might happen.
I am now planning to discontinue the eggs for sometime and see if the dull pains too will clear and then intoduce them later.
(Bilko begining of NSD I was flaring to eggs(I was having more sharp pains after the eggs so I quit eating them),then a month later I decided to test with the eggs and now I think I have those dull uncomfortable pains after eating eggs.)

Strange one Fighter - there is such a thing as egg allergy, to the proteins in the egg white, but sometimes in the yolk. But it usually affects young children who grow out of it. Presumably you are not aware of having this problem in childhood, but if you have developed it then maybe it inflames your GI and interferes with the digestion. If you intend to experiment further with them it would be a good idea to seperate the yolks from the white and try them seperately.

bilko--
The issue is not that eggs cause multiplication of the Klebsiella pneumoniae, but the yolks (yes, the whites could be taken separately) contain arachidonic acid precursors that can more easily potentiate any inflammation if it was already going to happen. This is a second-order effect that, until the Kp and IgA are well down and the gut is well healed, can become a real problem. Dairy and red meats also produce these inflammation-generators, so should be avoided by the newbie to get maximum benefit, then added back into the diet slowly, as possible--but hopefully soon (because whole eggs, in particular, are a very important food for us) to keep our choices up...

Oh John
is this why you don't want to eat red meat? And Ebringer was force feeding you the stuff in Las Vegas!
