Hey Timo,
Great post. Critical thinking, logic and reason are all huge parts of my life and I don't think I have yet been scammed although several "health" drink pyramid schemes have tried. It was especially difficult to deal with when it was the lady who cleaned my house. I wanted to hide from her. She knew I had RA and was convinced that her product would "cure" me. I have a different cleaning lady now.
What to do if you think you've been scammed? I guess report it to the Better Business Bureau or something similar. The best thing is to avoid it in the first place. If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is!
