I also love that (true) story about the time Bill Gates got a pie thrown at him from a protestor when he left the building after a speech. The next day he called the police to report it.
They said to him "Please step outside again now sir."
And he did so and returned to the phone.
And they said "Did the problem repeat itself?"
And he said "Of course not!"
And the police replied: "Well, sir, we seem to have fixed the problem. If you have any other problems, please do not hesitate to call us again, have a nice day!"
