I sleep like that on my back, too. It's why my hip doesn't hurt as much (till I got the great steroid shot yesterday). Figured it by finding a relatively comfy position....just didn't know why it was comfy. Of course, it hurts my SI joint a lot, but not as much as sleeping on my side hurt my hip. It's a relative thing, you know.
