My mother-in-law is one of my best freinds. She does not have arthritis but she suffers from chronic anemia and after a million tests(over the past few years) they cannot find the cause. She gets iron IV's frequently. She is in her 70's and has always had great health.
Anyone heard of natural remedy? Anyone have success with a supplement? I heard a change in diet can help. She eats really well and does not eat many sweets nor junk. I would love for her to feel better. She has a little difficulty breathing too.
Thank you.

Has she been checked out for coeliac disease? Thats a classic cause of malabsorption, and therefore low iron, B12, folate and other things. Advice I have seen is that you should always check for coeliac if there is unexplained anaemia.

Important to know too exactly what kind of "anaemia". Has she seen a haematologist? That might be the next step.

Was she screened for babesia, a red blood cell parasite?
