Hi guys
I just noticed that green beans and beetroot have really low starch content according to the list on this website. I grabbed both from the shops today amd tested with iodine, and there was no colour change to indicate the presence of starch. Does this mean these foods are all good to eat, or is the list and iodine test some times wrong?

Hello Josh,

I accidentily came across your post. Saw you didn't get a reply yet. Did you post this on the Diet Forum?
Anyway: The list is sometimes wrong yes. You should always test. Fruit that is unripe or veggies that are too ripe can contain starch.
If you have iodine that is sensitive enough, then you can always trust it. You can test it on a piece of bread for example, to see if it colours.
