A new platform for AS. This looks to be a NASS initiative, pulling Health Professionals Together to tackle AS.

Resources for Health Professionals
London Spondyloarthritis Academy
The first meeting of the London Spondyloarthritis Academy will be held on Wednesday 9 January 2019 at the Royal Society of Medicine, Wimpole Street, London, W1G 0AE.

Over the course of 2019, there will be four all-day events; January, March, July and October. All meetings will be held at the Royal Society of Medicine. The hope is that the SpA Academy will serve as a platform for multi-disciplinary team networking, and wish to include rheumatologists, clinical and research nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, orthotists, dieticians, psychologists, chiropractors, osteopaths, podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons and general practitioners.
Please register for the event by email.
RCGP eLearning module
NASS worked in partnership with the British Society for SpondyloArthritis (BRITSpA) to sponsor an eLearning module on axial spondyloarthritis on the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) website. The module covers diagnosis and management.

It was authored by Professor Karl Gafffney, consultant rheumatologist at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and Dr Daniel Murphy, who works both as a rheumatologist at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, and a GP in Devon.

Any health professional can access the course free of charge by signing up on the RCGP website. We really hope this course will help health professionals understand more about axial SpA (AS) and, over time, reduce the long delay to diagnosis.

AStretch
AStretch is a group of physiotherapists from around the UK who meet to improve the understanding of axial SpA (AS).
