Hi roll

I'm happy to report that this most recent flare is more manageable than I thought it would be.

Today I had my 2nd acupuncture appointment and then walked about 1/3 of a mile. So far only 2 tylenol and 1/2 of a tramadol today and it's 3PM. Whoop!

I've been doing some very mild Silver Sneakers workouts at home with YouTube. I can't recommend these enough. I think maybe it's the symmetrical aspect of the workout that helps me - and the extremely gentle movements.

I'm experimenting with hypnosis for muscle spasms and it seems to be working somewhat. Fingers crossed! (but not too tightly, LOL)

Goooooooo team! clap

Hi Team. smile

Know that thing that "we" do - when we are on the mend and then waaaaayyy overdo it and put ourselves back to the beginning? Ya... in my 60th year I still don't have the brains to avoid that thing.

Today I'm at 5,700 steps, 4 tylenol and 2 tramadol so far. Gah... my new goal is this - as soon as I'm well enough to walk the 10 blocks to the gym I'm gonna do that. When I get there I'll do the Silver-Age Yoga class and Uber home afterwards.

On the upside I can put on my own socks and shoes now. Today I managed to sweep - not shovel - the snow off the walkways. Slow but steady, right?

I hope everyone is having a lovely winter. cheerleader

Don't go beating yourself up about it Erica. I'm 73 this year and still doing such daft things. With over 60 years experience of A.S. you would think I would have learnt my lesson by now.

Hi Team cheerleader

Lately I've been trying to get back up to walking 20 blocks... slowly.
In an hour I'll be ubering to a specialist to see if I am a candidate for ketamine therapy. Kinda nerve wracking because I'm not thrilled with meds - but nobody here is thrilled with meds, right? We'd all rather live without them. After that I'm headed home to make some posters for the Soon to be updated YSPA speaker at a big community event on Saturday.

I hope you're all going forward and feeling good. heart

Goooooooooo team! clap

Hi Team! clap

I hope you're all well and happy. smile

I'm back to walking 2 miles e/o day, doing some simple yoga poses for about 30 minutes each day, and playing with grandkids.

Hi Erica, I am glad you're back making progress.

Have you found Yoga to be helpful? I am heavily considering it even though my spine has lost much of its mobility. I feel an intense amount of pressure (no pain)even with the beginner poses. So it makes it scary. Always wondering if I would do harm or help.

I can't even do most of the poses, so I just move that direction and stretch a bit. It would definitely hurt me if I tried to do the full poses. roll

grin Yep... I'm back to walking 2-3 miles per day... VERY slowly. The great news is that it's spring time and I can take my grandkids outside to play! Goooooooo TEAM! clap

Hi Everyone, smile

My hubby and I are going to be managing the property of a large camp at 10K feet this summer.

He will do the checking in/out of camping groups and I will do the cleaning and checking to make sure safety rules are being followed. We don't have to care for the actual campers - the group organizers and directors do all that - so the people'ing aspect should be minimum.

I'm a bit nervous about having my first "job" in 10 years, but it's exciting as well. roll

I hope you're all keeping moving as much as you can. cheerleader

Hi Team! grin

I've been down some obnoxious fatigue for the past few weeks. Still walking, but doing it in 3 stints throughout the day. I get up, walk a few blocks, go home and rest, repeat until I've walked 2.5-3 miles for the day.

Physical therapy is going well, though my right sacrum/hip is loathe to let me move normally right now. Anyhow - doing those stretches 2x per day.

I guess remission is over for now which is probably okay since the job we have up in the mountains only takes 3 hours per day. I hear altitude is good for bumping up remission. Fingers crossed remission will come back over the summer!

This is my new goal. 60 days in a row! Wish me luck. wink
