Has anyone been to the Goldberg Clinic in Georgia ? They have helped over 30 Rheumatoid Arthritis patients and have some testimonials on their website. The doctor doe not have a one size fits all for his patients. His point is to rebuild health from the ground up and he had RA himself or PSA .

I think for many chronic illness a person needs to try a lot of solutions in which the provider can genuinely empathize and is very knowledgeable due to a personal passion. I would give Goldberg Clinic a go depending on the age and vitality of the doctor(s) -- are they up on the latest in many disciplines and can put the time and energy into a single person, what is their training and background, are they publishing research, what is there stance on insurance, are they open minded but still grounded in reality?? The conventional medical system can not do some of those things -- especially the time factor -- for poorly understood illnesses that all look the same!! Hence why symptom treatments are the focus.

That is all we can do until some dedicated people start building the systems that use big data and AI to implement personalized medicine, and the politics and attitudes do not get in the way. Actually, the smaller versions of such systems are already here but just not being adopted en-mass. But once that happens the improvement will skyrocket!

China and Africa will be the first mass-adopters. It will happen in China faster than Western countries because the good of the collective outweighs the needs of the individual. Hence the privacy of my personal information will be used more at greater risk of discrimination, but more people will benefit and eventually that progress will come back to me.

Around 2003 (15 years ago!!!) I was developing biodiagnostic software that analyzed chemical, NMRs, IRs, and other spectra. Even then the ability of software to diagnose tissue disease was more reliable than a human technician and yet the public just did not "trust" the machines -- they liked a human face no matter how incompetent it was.

Many companies already sell such machines but hospitals are reluctant to buy them for many pathetic reasons that only an economist or actuary can appreciate. Please pardon my rant and cynicism.

May the Force be with you!

There seems very little that you and I usually agree about Robin but I can certainly agree with your above paragraph. Here in the U.K. there seems to be an obsession about protecting personal information that can only be hindrance to medical research.

Frederick, religious groups in China aren't getting in the way of medical research either.

During age 47 (2015) from NSAID use developed complete axial inflammation (started from from skull and progressed down to sacrum). Included psoriasis. Trigger in scull was reverse blockage in a SCUBA mishap in 2013. Straw that broke the camels back was over use of NSAIDs. NSD works well but not perfect. Strong involvement between symptoms and gut integrity.
