Hi Everyone,

first off, I'm new here. Diagnosed about 2 years ago and have had great results with Humira however, Rheumatologist thinks it's impacting my blood pressure in a negative way. He is switching me to Simponi, thinks it will be better for BP as well as AS. I trust my doctor, he is a brilliant guy who really understands immunology. Just wondering if anyone has experienced success with Simponi? I guess I'm just nervous because I was doing well with Humira and used to it. I will say that Simponi is much less painful than humira, did my first injection tonight!

Thanks for any replies, cheer!

I do Simponi and I didn't try anything else so...

Been having it for 2 years. I'm ok with Simponi. Cons: Instead of minor colds I get really strong ones. Ando some minor fungus infections and such.

Pain is still here (light to moderate) and i'm quite in shape... swimming and yoga...

Any questions feel free to ask!
Rock on!

Good to hear, thank you for the input. I am pretty active as well, do a lot of road cycling, some running (used to be a big runner before all of this happened)...and yoga is great, it has really helped me out a lot. Thanks again!

Cycling is a good form of exercise but I have always wondered if all that stooping over the handlebars is such a good thing. There is such a thing as a typical A.S. stoop and cycling would only make it worse. If your spine fuses in to a stoop then you would have even more problems and there is no cure for such a stoop but very drastic surgery.
