Good news - so, when going for an MRI of the spine, ensure that the radiologist uses the STIR sequences.

Molly, I just had an MRI and my doctor said I didn’t need contrast. My co-pay was 50%. So I guess I paid $600 and it wasn’t done right?? Maybe I’m missing something, I’m just so frustrated with all of the medical professionals!

AnitaC - No, you do not need contrast dyes. That is what the article is about ! Just ensure they do the STIR sequences -
