Good job Lon, Snow is all gone at my place for now. I am still on the elliptical 3 times a week, and lifting weights. I keep thinking that I will go running again, but am afraid of falling.

Hello Team! grin

We got our #5 grandson last week. Mama was very ready to deliver, so we got to play with #4 even more than usual.

I'm still swimming e/o day and walking in between. Spring is happening here, and I'm loving grad school.

Here's a cool gentle exercise video. I really like the hand stretches. [video:youtube]https://duckduckgo.com/?q=fitness+arithr...iai=PxGBzftkYg4[/video]

Congratulations on the new grandson smile

I've not been on for ages time is just flying by been so busy. STILL working it with swimming, yoga, walking and now the weather is better gardening. Apparently my hamstrings are coming on a treat in yoga!! whish my back bends and twists were though apparently that takes longer (years) and doesn't happen until your hamstrings have given all they've got, one can dream smile.

Orch you should try yoga if you are worried about falling. It has done wonders for my balance several times I have been saved from what would have been nasty slips/ falls by my improved balance and muscle memory from yoga. For example while picking raspberries in the garden on steep ground I slipped went right down into a crouch and bounced back up again. No bum on ground or hands and I didnt spill a single raspberry shocked That would have killed my knees and been impossible pre my swimming and yoga. I also had a huge slip on a flat icy track but managed to recover without falling, it would have been a very hard landing otherwise!

Good job saving the raspberries Grumpy!!!

Sue, so glad you're walking again. Sorry I missed your call!

I've been canvassing for a friend who's running for city council. The more I walk the better I feel, but my extra 20lbs is really showing up in foot pain.

Oh well, less food will take care of that!

Peace to everyone, Erica heart

Interested to hear that your friend is running for City Council as my daughter is at present running for our local County Council. Still I suppose the system is very different over there in the USA from here in the UK.

Has it been the election yet? Did your daughter win her seat? My guy lost, but he did get 40% of the vote. In a conservative area that was pretty great considering he's only 35, progressive, and gay. It was cool to help with his campaign, and I learned a lot!

Hello Team!

I've been walking 10 miles per week and swimming 1/2 mile every 3-4 days. We are building 5 garden beds and turning new soil around our little fruit trees. I am enjoying remission, and not taking it for granted in the least.

The pool/gym I just joined 6 weeks ago has already changed hands and the beautiful salt water pool has been dirty the last couple of weeks. I called yesterday to ask if it had been clean and they said yes, so I'll go again after lunch. If not, I'm switching back to the university pool even though it's colder.

We just got a new grandson a month ago today. He is so precious!!!

Here's a cool link for how to walk with arthritis.
