Hello, Jay:

Not sure if the apples are safe; switch to melons is best if possible and always test with the iodine.

I don't like turmeric powder as it is too starchy to be of enough value on balance.

Great eight eggs is just wonderful. Onions and tomatoes are fine for most people.

The way this works is that as we stop the flares, our guts heal faster and we can become more tolerant of some things like dairy; it is best to go slow with the experimentation and remember that aged (hard) cheeses are safer than soft varieties.

Whatever the doctor prescribed for Your TB treatment--that is, certainly an antibiotic, but antibiotics which do not have efficacy against Klebsiella pneumoniae have no value in treating AS symptoms, either. My AP for AS is available in my dropbox link, "Important AS Resources" part of my signature.

Not sure we will make Chennai if only there for three weeks, but will certainly let You know when we are there, Thank You.

HEALTH,
John

Hi John,

I thought this is high time for me to try very seriously to get the results through diet. I am into eighth month.

I have cut apples from 4 to 1 four per day. Melon being the season here, I already started watermelon and musk melon for 4 days.

I am going to stop turmeric also.

I will try kefir milk in place of dairy items.

I went through your antibiotic protocol. You have indicated taking Cipro (ciprofloxacin) 1000 mg single dosage per day for 11 days and five days with no drugs, but good supplementation. Then took another 11 days Cipro and five days with no drugs but with probiotic. Finally 11 days took Cipro and three days without antibiotics. Then taken six weeks of tetracycline at 1250 mg per day and added Flagyl (metronidazole) at 1000 mg from third week for two weeks.
On earlier occasions when I took Cipro for five days, I experienced loose stools. I am planning to discuss with a doctor, whom I know before starting. Should I have to take antibiotics for a total period of 75 days (11*3+6*7=75 days). This will help me to discuss with doctor.

Kindly inform me of your program if it includes Chennai.

I am thinking posting photos of some items tested with iodine for feedback.

Regards.

Hi, Jay:

The AP I have described was as close to what I did as possible, but I might modify it slightly in retrospect:

1) I would take colloidal silver 2oz (10-20 ppM) 3X day before meals.
2) Start tetracycline immediately after the 11 days of Cipro.
3) Make the times between the hard 11 days more variable--up to 2 months taking tetracycline.
4) Do the Flagyl early; it can replace tetracycline if necessary and they can be used concurrently. I honestly believe that everyone with AS should do a couple of cycles of Flagyl.
5) Take a break from the tetracycline for a week or two and replenish gut flora, fast, and cleanse with oregano oil.

It is a personal thing, mostly, that requires some tweaking and experimentation, but we make our own decisions as to when to begin what: We "listen" to our bodies and act, now that we know the mechanism of this disease.

I certainly will let You know about our itinerary.

HEALTH,
John

Thanks John.

I will put the protocol as below.

1. Take colloidal silver 2oz (10-20 ppM) 3X day before meals

2. Take Cipro 1000 mg single dosage per day for 11 days

3. Take tetracycline immediately after the 11 days of Cipro.

4. Continue tetracycline for 2 months with a break for a week or two and replenish gut flora, fast, and cleanse with oregano oil.

5. Take Flagyl either replacing tetracycline or concurrently for 2 months.

Whether the above mentioned sequence is ok. I will also discuss with a doctor and start.

Regards.

Jay
