Hello, Jennyfaaa:

I went to an acupuncturist and the prick did me some good--well actually with my shoulder bursitis. I wished the electric stimulators had gone up to 11. I had the most needles and highest intensity of any of her patients.

Funniest thing is people used to ask "doesn't that hurt?" Not surprised how clueless people are about arthritis in general and pain.

My AS was not affected by the procedure, but it did relieve some of the pain.

Anything noninvasive is worth a try...acupuncture is noninvasive.

I tried it with 3 different practitioners, the final one for 3 or 4 months. It really didn't do much for me, maybe a sense of calmness for the day, kinda cathartic, but nothing for the inflammation or pain...may have helped with my bowels?, but nothing for the joint inflammation and pain....still glad I tried it.
