If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

http://www.rheumatologynetwork.com/aaos-2015Steroid Injections May Hasten Hip Joint Degeneration The first study to assess the effect of steroid injections on the hip joint suggest that they may hasten joint degeneration, but the co-injected local anesthetic is also suspect. Article over on the research forum.

Hi all, When I was very young I used to suffer extremely with my hip joints. I used to have a limp and at one stage they were so painful I used to walk around the house pushing an office chair in front of me to help me walk. I hated everyone and anyone who could walk perfectly, that was in my 20's. Things got so bad that I stayed in bed for a month. My mom tired of seeing me in such pain. Took me to the hospital. I remember barely being able to get out of the car and crossing the road in tears walking one step at a time. It probably took me 20 minutes to walk to the doctors office which was very close.
The doctor checked my hips and immediately pulled out two large cyringes with very large needles. He gave me steroid injections on both of my hip joints and after a few seconds told me to walk. The pain was gone completely, I went in crawling and came out running! The thing is (touch wood) I never suffered with my hips again till this day.
My theory is that the steroids killed the inflammation which led to my joint healing, i.e in an inflamed state my joints would get damaged which would cause unbalanced walking and more damage and inflamation which would go in an uncontrolled vicious cycle.
I agree completely with this post that steroid injections hastens joint damage I am living proof.
Hope this helps someone with hip issues.

Yes - I was scratching me ed <smile>
I found the article interesting, but how much can one note it ? Hmmmmm. Certainly in the rheumatology area cortisone has been a boon to many, especially in the hip area. Suppose 'horses for courses', if it works for one go for it, if probs, leave it alone. (For myself, am hyper reactive to cortisone, so don't touch it in any shape or form). All comes back down to the person, and, don't do too many. Caution is the name of the game.
Terrif it worked so well for you L33 - Keep a-goin -
