If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I followed the AIP for awhile but also did NSD along with it. It is very restrictive and doing the two together made it even more so. That being said I felt pretty good. I ended up moving on to Paleo as well as NSD.
I just tested positive for SIBO so now I need to do SCD....

I've been doing mostly paleo for a couple of months and nothing has changed. Well.... Except I've lost 13lbs. My hubby had been really strict about the diet and he's lost 30lbs. I haven't noticed any real difference in pain or mobility. Good luck to you!

You're lucky! I went strict paleo for the first 30 days and then added dairy and alcohol into the mix after that. It's been about five months, now, and I suffered a massive influx of flare ups and symptoms that I hadn't had in a long time.
I've read a few accounts of how common it is to have pain points 'reactivate' while following these diets.
Luckily, those flare ups have started to happen with less and less frequency on top of feeling generally better about everything.

The Paleo autoimmune is seriously restrictive.
No dairy, limited fruit, it's basically meat, olive and coconut oil and some vegetables.
I'm early on but some people have had a lot of success with it so it's worth trying.

+1 for AIP + no starch being very much worth trying.
B27+, 2nd Rheumy: 'inflammatory backpain'. IBS + SI/lumbar/thoracic/cervical/knee/elbow stiffness & pain. Managing inflammation very well with diet since Jan 2011. Slow but consistent reduction in symptoms year by year. Haven't seen a physician in years. Took LDN (4.5mg) between 2013-2015, 2018-2019.

>> dairy and alcohol
For years I was reacting to dairy.. even cheese, if I had enough, could set off my AS. I was eventually able to build up some tolerance to cheese, but had to give it up as it contributed to other weird issues such as night dehydration, prostate inflammation, and possibly asthma.
Alcohol - I can only recall beer causing inflammation. Some beers are probably starchier than others?
Preservatives - Not quite relevant here, but with wine I was sensitive to the preservatives, and almost all the wines have this these days. But no inflammation, it just made me feel utterly rotten.. all my muscles would ache. I believe my liver's glycogen stores were running low, and that this was contributing to chemical sensitivities.

I didn't notice a spike in inflammation within my system when I reintroduced alcohol and then, later, dairy. However, I'm starting to realize that I may need to scale this all back and start fresh. I've been doing the diet for five months, but only documenting food intake and pain symptoms for one

Who can say! 90-95% of the diet is the same for everyone, but we do have our own idiosyncrasies and need to tweak it somewhat. For instance I was unable to eat macadamias and would react to them as badly as any starch, but have never heard anyone else react like that. Just something unique to my bodies gut flora I suppose.
