I had my first swim for a couple of weeks after what I think was a virus (a bit hard to tell whether my body's fighting a virus or just think it is lol). Did my usual half hour but deliberately took more breaks to ease into it.

Yesterday I walked to the supermarket and back - about a km each way.

It's Winter here so weather's not great, although not too cold today.

Last week I went on a couple of 2 mile walks. Saturday I walked 2 miles with my wife. Then I went 3 miles on the elliptical. Then I walked home from the gym which is a mile. Then in the afternoon my wife, and I walked around Salt Lake. After walking around Salt Lake we hiked up to Ensign Peek that overlooks Salt Lake City. The hike is only about 1/2 mile, but it is a good up hill. I think I over did it because my shoulder was very sore Saturday night.

On holiday last week

Sun cycled 8 miles with an eight mile walk up mountains in the middle. Some days you can almost forget you have AS and this was one of them (paid for it the following two though!)

Weds 4mile cycle (the there bit into a headwind) with a 5mile walk in the middle.

Fri 10 mile bike ride down a beautiful Glen.

Today 1 hour ride, yippee back in the saddle only able to do walking pace at the moment but was good blue skies warm and sunny smile

walked about 1 mile, 20 minutes today, my SI joint is so angry at me.

Its crazy crazy2

hoping the humira shot tomorrow settles down my SI joint if nothing else. I just want to be able to go for walks again as a start.

I went to the orthopedic surgeon yesterday for a post op appointment. He said I can start running again. I am trying to get the courage to hit the road again, while trying not to actually hit the road again.

WOWZAZ! cheerleader Maybe you could join a running club? yes That way you wouldn't be alone.

Yesterday I swam 21 laps and then about 50 sweaty stinky 13 year olds got in the pool from CMU football camp. ICK! I jumped out to fast!

Go TEAM! clap

My husband (who isn't a spondy)can run for miles on trails, grass etc but can hardly run at all on concrete or tarseal without getting injured. Just a thought that you might want to start offroad.
