I keep hearing mention of oil of oregano as a quality antimicrobial supplement to combine with the NSD. I'd like to give it a try and incorporate it into my NSD (I'm just starting out - in my 2nd week). Can anyone recommend a good brand? Is oil of oregano effective against klebsiella and other gut microbes alone, or is it also effective against candida (yeast)? Any recommendations on how it is to be taken at at what dosage?

Hi, Bobbo:

I have used this rather sparingly, but with great success overall and I have recommended it, but only if enteric-coated.

And this should never be taken on an empty stomach: The actual moment the capsule opens, You will feel it! These are great for dysbiosis; it will clear out unwanted/displaced bacteria and fungi.

The brand is "NOW" and best to get the softgel that states they are 'enteric-coated.' 90 to the container 181mg 55% carvacrol plus oils of ginger and fennel. Really good stuff!

HEALTH,
John

Hey, Bman:

Capsules release the agent after it passes through the stomach, so reaches 'ground zero' in less-diluted state. The oil might be good for some things like thrush directly, but for us the capsules are the best way.

HEALTH,
John
