I just read more stories of people having success treating their spondylitis with the autoimmune protocol of the Paleo diet. The Paleo diet tends toward very low starch, but could also be a NSD, if someone preferred - or, as in my case, slightly more starch/carbs.

Psoriatic spondylitis for just 3 years, already on disability. Failed with anti-TNF's and methotrexate; can't take NSAIDS; not on any regular pain meds. On the autoimmune protocol of the Paleo diet, with pretty good results so far. Also have to avoid high-oxalate foods.

Yes the Paleo diet has so much in common with the NSD. So far from what I see in the recipes the main starchy ingredient they use is yam / sweet potato ?

Paleo is a good source of recipes for us smile
