Does anybody get a leaky eye? My right eye is out of control I look like im crying all the time and it is so annoying. For the most part my eye feels dry and strained and it boggles me because the amount of tears that fall from it you would think the dryness would go away. I have my rheumy apt. wednesday so I will let him know but I like input from my AS family smile
Have a great Monday everyone smile

A classical symptom of dry eye is excessive tearing.

Correct - right on. Classic symptom of dry eye is...tears/lacrimae. Mine stream. Speak with your rheumy but also see a good ophtho. Will prob recommend artificial tears - ensure 'preservative free'. IF continues unabated, try for the punctal plugs - I found em a god send.

But do keep up with the artificial tears. Can also google up 'dry eye' and no doubt put in a search here on KA. Subject comes up quite often.

Take care dem eyes -

you didn't poke it or anything, did you? that was the first thought I had when I read your post. Have you gone to a walk in to have your eye looked at? Better to be safe than sorry.

I kinda of figured it was just my dry eye but just wanted to make sure that this is not how uvitis or iritis starts. I have been fortunate enough to not have had experienced this yet. I have not poked my eye or iritated it in anyway it just started a wk ago and hasnt stopped -_-. I just went to eye doctor not to long ago and cannot afford to go again so Im hoping my rheumy sends me that way its covered by ohip smile
Thanks for all the replies, its nice to have this place to turn to.
