If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi there I just came back from my check up regarding my knee replacement. It should have been at the 6 week mark but since the surgeon was away it was at the 7 week mark. Not that 1 week made a difference. I have been doing the exercises each and every day and faithfully going to physio. I am sure that this helped some however the surgeon is not pleased with the knee. He said that it is too stiff and that I have to go back to day surgery so he can manipulate it to see if that will make a difference. I have been saying for ages that the knee will not bend. The PT measured it and said that as of now I can bend it at 60 degrees and she can get it up to 70. I don't feel that I am even at 60 because I can't get it to bend enough to comfortably go up stairs .

Good luck Valerie, maybe he can get just a little more manipulation. I had to do the same thing with a shoulder surgery. It breaks up some scar tissue to make things are more mobile. Let us know how it goes. Good Luck and God Bless.

Doesn't sound like fun, but if it gets you further down the road of recovery.... Hugs. Sounds like like a few would be nice. Hope this is just a glitch on the road, not more problematic.

Val, I have no doubt that your knee will recover properly. Keep up the exercises and physio. Have you been swimming?
It takes time and patience. I know you know that, but you're working hard and it will pay off.
Love and hugs,

HI Valerie, Don't sweat it - lots of folks need to go back for an MUA - it is not an admission of failure on your part, or evidence that you have done insufficient rehab - I have never figured out any common factor that will help me to predict who will and who won't be likely to need an MUA. All I know is that you WILL get > 90* after your MUA. Then you just need to ice, move, ice, move, ice, move...... (I'm sure you get the idea!)

Hey Val, PM me if you have any questions. You know what I have been through with the failed TKR's and other knee surgeries thanks to the AS and 6 MUA's, and 12 surgeries. I feel for ya sweetie. Hopefully this Mua will do it for ya. They usually try to do this under the 6 week mark as each week that passes the adheasions are that much tougher to break up and may requites arthroscopic surgery to remove the adheasions instead up just break them up. Most of the time the patient will be sent directly from the MUA to therapy.
Thinking of you
Cindy

I agree it doesn't sound like fun but if it gives me some movement it will be worth it.

Hi Kat How have you been? I agree that the surgeon will get my knee to recover properly . I am constantly trying to get the knee to bend. I have not been swimming to tell you the truth it is not something that I know how to do. I know I live right by the ocean with beaches everywhere and am one of the few that can not swim.
