If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

what would be a hot, cookable alternative to porridge OATS?
what would work as a replacement to cooked white rice?
what carbs can one eat?as i understand things carbs are a good source of energy for those that require the boosts in energy(runners etc) what is left in the way of carbs that is not full of starch?

i actually feel most energetic when i eat only protein (meats, fish, eggs, etc) and veggies. personally i don't think your body will miss the starches / complex carbs. i know mine doesn't. maybe a little fat too like EVOO or nuts.

Cauliflower fried 'rice' might be a suitable substitute. I haven't tried it myself yet but it may make a suitable substitute. It is on my to do list. I have however used it successfully as a substitute for mashed potatoes as a shepherds pie topping etc.
I found this recipe on the net
Cauliflower Rice
4 tablespoons olive oil 1 medium onion, diced 1 cup celery, finely diced 1 head cauliflower, trimmed and coarsely chopped ¼ teaspoon celtic sea salt
1.In a large skillet , heat olive oil over medium heat 2.Saute onion over medium heat for 10 minutes, until soft 3.Add celery to skillet and saute for 5 minutes 4.Meanwhile, place cauliflower in a food processor with the "S" blade and process until the texture of rice 5.Add cauliflower to skillet, cover and cook 5-10 minutes, until soft, then add salt
I have another but it is more an egg fried vegetable mix with cauliflower as its base. I am assuming you just want a basic rice like dish so haven't included it.
As for a porridge sub the only thing I can think of is chia seeds. The usual thing is to soak them in liquid (eg milk of choice) 1cup of chia seeds to 4 cups water for 2hours or more. This mix will keep in the fridge for approx 4/5 days. This is usualy eaten cold with fruit yoghurt etc added but you can cook them so you can then heat it to your desired temp and add anything else you like fruit etc. They do have a wheaty taste which you may or may not like so if you were to try them just buy a small amount first as they are expensive. Shop online Holland and Barrett charge a small fortune for them. Apparently they behave a bit like oats in that they help you feel full for longer.
There may be a specific chia 'porridge' recipe if you try googling or variations of the cauliflower rice. Hope this helps

Here is my favorite porridge-like no/low starch recipe. I really enjoy chia seed pudding for breakfast. And its very very easy to make. You can omit the chocolate powder for the no starch version. Although I think this porridge is better served chilled or at room temperature. I have never had it heated, not sure, probably be okay? You can also top with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc. And either fresh or canned coconut cream. here is a link to the full recipe: http://bettyrawker.com/2012/07/13/dessert-for-breakfast-chia-pudding/Chocolate Chia Pudding: 1 cup “milk” (almond milk, hazelnut milk, hempseed milk, etc) 2 medjool dates (or 1 - 2 tbsp sweetener) or stevia 1 + 1/2 tbsp raw cacao powder 1/4 cup chia seeds Blend the first 3 ingredients together, or you can stir if you aren’t using whole dates as your sweetener. I like to blend so that even if I am using honey to sweeten instead of dates, everything gets well combined. Pour into a glass jar or bowl. Stir in chia seeds. Let set a few minutes, stir again. In about 15 minutes you will have a nice thick pudding.

thank you ladies and gentlemen......i have just realised that i am very nearly on, and have been for some time,a LSD i gave up cakes, puddings, sweets, potatoes and bread because i HAD to,they were bloating my stomach something awful and i made the connection between the foods and IBS....all i eat now in the form of starch methinks is the morning porridge and some pasta and rice from time to time pasta i could care less about and the rice could go too i suppose, maybe i could find an alternative to white rice for my sweet and sour i make at home......and the porridge oats?well maybe that is so low in starch as not to be much of a concern? i have been getting some bad seborrheic dermatitis of late and i have made the connection that sweets, chocolate, candies, soda pop.....anything with sugar will bring me out in a lovely vivid red rash,so if i go out for a night or attend a wedding or function i have to refuse the soda pop, cakes, sweets, candies, puddings, potatoes, rice, pizza,i don't drink alcohol anyway (through choice ) LOL ice cream you get the picture...i am the life and soul of the party ha ha i am getting a little fed up with myself with this bloody disease.what's left to give up? i have nothing left to give i will say one thing though exercise and keeping well away from the starchy foods have helped my IBS/bloating

you could have both. kat does.
in any case, most important thing is that you ID'ed the things that bother you and avoided them.
way back before i knew why, other than "genetics" / family history, i noticed some meals killed my stomach and some soothed it.
kept a food / symptom diary and within about 3 months, figured out what i could and couldn't eat.
but more recently (2006), my GI doc biopsied me for celiac (neg). and even more recently (2010? 2011?) did blood work for celiac (both antibody and gene) (both negative once again). so i'm not celiac, just spondy and sensitive to casein in dairy, and a little bit to eggs.
