Thank you! How I would cherish walking with you just as we walk together here. It has been several years since we first talked of walking together. hugss

Hope you have a good week.

Joyce

PS The peppers "look" good. She left a few jars here so we will see....eventually. :o)

Thanks Pea. How are you doing?
Right now, I wouldn't know if it was "behind me" because I hardly know whether I am coming or going. smile
Really, I hope so too. This CNS flare could be a little frightening if I let myself think of it. I am going to call my Rheumatologist and probably my Neuro/Optho tomorrow. I don't know how long we wait before we try something more. I know the Plaquenil hasn't had time to kick in and I also know the steroid shot is wearing off because my pain is back.

I am rather tired of staying in but it is truly too hot to be out anyway. It is the idea I think.

Take care.
Hugs.

Thanks Donna. I have always had a love/hate relationship with Prednisone. This time I just got an injection so don't have to worry about weaning. I took it for years and a lot of times at 60 mg. daily. Now that will drive you nuts! but I also think it saved my life.

Hope you have a good week.

Hugs.

Our daughter is an angel! She actually moved in for the summer last year and took care of our lawn and our elderly neighbor's lawn. (That means they are very old. grin

I do hate the eye movement problems. I have had muscle spasms all over my body and I have voice problems. I have even had some breathing problems so I will be glad for "something" to kick in.

I wouldn't know what to recommend to you. I hung in with Remicade for a full year but got sicker all year. I never did try the Simponi. After the hard time with Remicade is when the dr. decided we were through treating. Now he has changed his mind since I am in a flare. I am glad. I am not ready to give up and not going to live in the future wondering "what if" since I am choosing to treat again. Just have to live today.

As I read somewhere "Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present".

I think you will just have to come to some kind of peace with yourself over your decision (after really talking it over with your drs and being really informed) and talking it over with the Lord and then go for it.

Through the years, I have felt like I had to do what I could do to keep going and I think this has kept me going. I was 14 with my first diagnosis and now I am 29 for the 40th time.
Wow, that is old!! crazy I certainly don't feel that old but I do know this house I am living in is going to eventually be unrepairable. Just keep repairing yours while you can. Just be well informed.

I will pray for you and your decision making.
Hugs.

Possi: Your daughter is an angel helping with yard work. I have let my yard work go- flowers died, weeds everywhere and grass is brown. Someday, I will get back out there and clean it up.

How is your flare up? The muscle spasms, breathing and voice problems sound horrific. Do your eyes twitch in the sun? Glad to hear you have decided to treat. Soon enough, you will be getting better pain relief smile. Has your doctor talked to you about your treatment options?

I have decided to give Remicade another try. I took your advice and decided to not think about the "what if". I will never know if Remicade caused my allergic reaction until I try it again. My Rheumy did warn me the reaction could be worse the 2nd time around but they are going to prepare my body just in case. I am ready to fight the war inside my body once again and this time, I'm bringing more ammunition.

Thanks for all your support and I will be praying for you too.

Shari

I wish I had your daughter here to do my yard work!

Actually it isn't too bad. I decided a while back that while I like getting out into the garden, there was no way I could do it all myself. So, I pay someone to mow the lawns for me (used to take me three goes, then by the time I had finished the first bit was due again), and I pay a (semi-retired) gardener to come in and do a couple of hours every few weeks. Its money well spent, as it means I can then put my effort into my vegetable garden and grow my own fresh veges, which would probably be worth more than what I pay the gardener.
