I have been bold and went for asparagus a few times lately. No reaction. I have, however, had mild reaction to cauliflower which I ate mashed ones 2 days in a row last week. When I tested it, it was very light gray, but not black, and my cocky self decided to eat it anyway. Also, over the weekend I had a couple sips of my brothers "thai coffee" which he put 2 Tbs of sweetened condensed milk in his mug and mixed it. I also had a bunch of ginger ale which has caramel coloring added, which feeds the klebs.

Just now past a miniflare from it, after fasting yesterday. I think it was just too much of a mixture of the right types of fuel for the klebs. Still learning, but oh so glad to get these learning experiences past me so I can continue my awesome healing and move on with life!

I always react to clauiflower as well, unsure why as most say it does not have starch.

But every time I ate it, always reacted.

My gastro put me in the antibiotic Rifaximin for 4 days for diarrhea, and told to to take Senex 3 probiotics afterwards. He says they are very good.

I haven't finished with the antibiotics so I haven't started the Senex 3, so I can't tell really. I told them that I use Pearls but he said Senex 3 is better.

Anyone tried them?

It depends what kind of antibiotic you take, and more importantly, what for. If you take a systemic antibiotic for a throat infection for example, you can take probiotics during the course to alleviate antibiotic induced diarrhea. If you take a non-systemic antibiotic, like Rifaximin, to treat diarrhea. You should take the probiotics after the course. If you take it during, you'll just give the antibiotic more to do, so to say. Possibly making the treatment less effective.

Anyone have experience with these probiotics? My nutritionist recommended them:

Yes, VSL3 is really great. For once, a health product worth it's premium price. Just remember it contains maltose, if you're on NSD or SCD.

Hey kelly welcome to starch reduction. Every now and then i bang the drum of ferment and of process-free food. Probiotics are fine but the reason and process is integral. First clean the gut. Second ingest the right stuff. Third keep the right bugs in the right places. Luckily all the stuff you need is in these pages or will be there when you call...
Glad you are on the journey.
