Does anyone here besides DragonSlayer react to deep-fried protein or vegetables? I don't really like fried food all that much but it'd be nice if I could have it once in a while. Also makes eating out easier. Pork cracklings (fried pork skin) is one of our snack foods here, which I really love. But I've avoided it since starting NSD, now I miss it.

I seem to do fine with the occasional thing fried in coconut oil. I recently made halibut (like "fish & chips") by breading the halibut in ground up sesame seeds and groud up flax seeds. I then pan fried it in coconut oil. I made a tartar sauce with Veganaise, garlic, & Bubbies Pickles. It was pretty tasty!!

I also have a recipe for crab cakes posted on here, and those I also fried pretty crispy in coconut oil.

Kale chips are my favorite "greasy" snack though. I toss a head of broken up kale in 1 to 2 tbsp olive oil, then sprinkle salt, and seasonsings like vegan "cheeze" (ground Brazil nuts, nutrional yeast, garlic & cayenne) or honey & cayenne. I then dehydrate overnight, and they are crispy (and greasy) just like potato chips the next morning.

Enjoying a plant based mostly raw vegan diet 90% of the time, with a few raw or cooked seafoods every now and then. Taking curcumin daily and combined with a super Low Starch Diet am pretty much pain free!
