If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi, Anyone try cod liver oil consistantly for a month or more for their arthritis? My friend wants me to give it a try and she is giving me a bottle of it. I heard it smells bad or tastes bad, but I just read 2 tsps can lower the intake of nsaids by 30%. I don't know if this is true and I would rather hear from someone here than read an article about it. Thank you.

there are various cautions to cod liver oil, like high vitamin A, mercury content, etc.
thus instead of taking that, i decided on purified fish oil from little fishes in the artic waters: nordic naturals is the brand.
not sure how much of anything it's doing for my inflammation. but it seems to help my blood lipids. maybe its helping as i'm better between flares, but could be the probiotics, vitamin C, LDN, a whole host of things. still, i take it.
i take ~3000 mg a day (that's 6 pills. 3 in the AM. 3 in the PM.)

I am a proponent of cod liver oil. The brand I use doesn't taste bad - Garden of Life Cod Liver Oil. I've tracked my Vit D over the years, and by taking this, I've been able to consistently get my Vit D to a more acceptable level. (In fact, at one point, I actually hit the maximum accepted range for Vit D before I had to dial down my dosage!)
It's unclear how much anti-inflammatory benefits I receive with the Cod Liver Oil. I attribute most of the pain mitigation with a strict NSD and not necessarily the supplement. But it is possible that everything works together to help out.
Another interesting thing is that Vit A is found in Cod Liver Oil. I found it interesting that my eye sight improved for the last two years since I started regularly taking cod liver oil... Of course, you always need to be careful with any fat soluble vitamins...

Thank you Sue, I think I tried Nordic Naturals once before. Thanks Tim, I appreciate it! Thanks Former Foodie for your input, I think I am going to try it, I might do a juice fast first. Interesting about the eyesight, mine has improved over the past couple years too, I'm not sure why.
