That is what I do also. The last time we did it without any sedation and it was ok; better than being "dopey". crazy
It really makes me sore for a couple of weeks. I am a little concerned about getting it a week before my trip. I guess if it is too bad, I will change my flight.

Have a good evening. Rest well.

Hugs and Blessings.

Thanks Tim. I think I need those "one day at a time reminders". I never was a fan of NBA until Thunder came to town. It is really fun to have a hometown team and they are great. They are genuinely nice guys it seems as well as a good team. Our city/state has kind of gone Thunder crazy.

Yes, a trip to FL will be good. I really am missing my daughter and her family. You can't be with grands enough. :o) Or kids!! :o)

Thanks again Tim.

Blessings.

The last RF on the SIJ was pretty tough since I did both sides at one time. Pain doc said she hadn't ever done that before and I was sort of a 'test patient.' Knowing how much inflammation I dealt with the first time, I asked if it would help if I took a Medrol dosepak starting the day before the procedure. Rheumy was okay with it, too, so I did that. I also had a 3 day weekend for Labor day starting the next day. Procedure was Friday morning, and I spent the next 3 days icing the SI and taking ibuprofen around the clock, together with the steroids. Was able to go back to work on Tuesday. I'll do it this way the next time, whenever it wears off. It's been about 9 months with no pain, though the stiffness remains. Oddly enough, my SI MRI was 'normal' according to the radiologist. That's puzzling, unless the Enbrel was doing more than I feel like it did.

If you ever make it up this end of the turnpike, I'll make Lisa go to lunch/dinner with us.

hrtballon I would love to go to dinner with you two. How fun that would be! and hopefully it won't be long until Pea is close enough to go also.

I have had both sides done both times and he will do both sides this time. I dread the soreness and hope my trip will be manageable. Ice, Ice, Ice. I think ice is the answer for so many pains. I keep lots of ice packs of all sizes in the freezer. I was curious since my dr. said he is using more chemicals for the rhizotomies but that he won't change what he is doing for me since it works.

I probably wouldn't need it again yet if I hadn't gone crazy in the garden. crazy

I wish we could get a general body one. Wouldn't that be amazing to stop the pain throughout. smile

Hope you rest well.

hugss Blessings.

Hey Joyce, I really...... know how it is to miss a daughter so far away. My Becky and her hubby are hear with me visiting this week, leaving tomorrow. It's the first I've seen her since their wedding a year ago. This week went so fast, I don't want to let them go back home. I do hope you make it down there okay. There's nothing better than a Mother daughter reunion.

Me? not doing well, but still plugging away.

Cindy

Keep on plugging Cindy. I know you do that well. You have had to deal with a lot.

It will be a year in June since I have seen this daughter and that is much too long. I still plan to go but have to get some things checked out first.

Think of you often!
Joyce
