Hello, everyone. In all this medical 'mess' I am currently in, I am still continuing on with my College education. Will be sponsored for the next three years taking Business Administration and focusing in Marketing. Looking forward to it beginning. smile

Has the perfect blend of everything I have been searching for in a career. Have set things up so I see a mental health counselor every two weeks to monitor my depression. I have requested actual classroom attendance instead of distance.

Distance is nice but it also allows me too much time to avoid my studies and I don't want that. I am a procrastinator and will avoid, avoid, avoid.

I had a Neuropsychological Assessment and have found a possible new place to rent when my divorce is finalized. I am taking my rose bush with me along with my bushes from home.

Rheumatologist appointment was a total bust. I see my doctor in two days for the results of ALL the xrays and MRIs I had this month. There were sure a lot of them! I was glowing in the dark at one point. lol (just kidding)

Will be asking for a referral to a Rheumatologist at the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg. My SI joints are still sore. Left side is worse than the right's.

good luck with school!

admire your persistence!

and glad to see you are seeing someone regularly for the depression.

while distance learning can be easier physically, going to class can be great for the people interactions, especially coming off of a divorce.

good luck with all!

Yes, I admire your determination too. Glad you have sorted out something that seems workable. Don't forget to check in with the disabled student services people as soon as you enrol - even if you don't need them at the start, they can be incredibly useful for helping negotiate special conditions if or when required - whether that is having some days working from home, extra sessions with tutors, ergonomic chairs, or extra time for assignments, or anything else you might need to get you through. I've even had an extra year of study approved in the past(on full student allowances and no extra fees) because of disability.

cemc's list made me think of something else.

in addition to more time on exams, if you need it, you can arrange to take your exams outside of the classroom, in an especially quiet room where you won't be distracted, as some people's disability is not being able to shut out background noises, voices, movements, etc. ask your school about that if you think you might need it.

i wouldn't ask the professor, these aren't the kinds of things i knew about til a student told me they needed it and showed me the slip of paper from the school giving the instructions of how to go about it. it will probably require your professor to give a copy of the exam to the disabilities office (right) before the exam.

once again, good luck! and have fun with it! yes

I saw my doctor today for my Cat and MRI results. My MRI indicated extensive white matter lesions and I have been referred to a Neurologist. My tumor has slightly shrunk in size which is good news.

My Cat scan showed a 3.2 cm mass low density mass just inferior to the sigmoid colon in the left adnexal region. They feel it is an Ovarian cyst or group of cysts. Ironically this same side is killing me. Period is here but not here if you know what I mean.

I am being referred to another Rheumatologist at the Health Sciences Center. Hopefully one who is not an [*bleep*]. I listed three doctors for my doctor whom I feel are total [*bleep*].

Tomorrow my friend is being buried. She lost her fight with cancer after a very brave fight and many many chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Rest in peace, Kim. I couldn't make it to your funeral because of a previously scheduled medical appointment of my own. Forgive me, Kim. I miss you so much. You will always be the blonde girl who would beat up her brothers. Always.

cheerleader cheerleader WELL DONE, MAGIC!!! cheerleader cheerleader

You are one strong woman, my dear. Good for you for getting back on track to your dreams. I know you are going to succeed.

Good news about the tumour, not so good about the cysts, but at least that explains the pain, which must be a relief. I hope the rheumy in Winnipeg turns out to be a class act.

And I`m so sorry to hear about your friend. I`m sure she would understand why you weren`t there. hugss

Love and hugs,
