It's linked with some of the autoimmune stuff like RA, SLE, etc, so I think it could be also linked to AS. Not sure if it's due to the spine issues of AS, but rather the overall autoimmune activity. Living where you do, it must be doubly a problem. Brrr. I can't handle a lot of air conditioning and it's A/C season around here. I rarely wear shorts out to places because it's too cold with the A/C settings down into meatlocker temps. LOL. Flinging warm thoughts to you, Salty.

Saltire like you I am freezing though not as far north as you, if the cold winds would go it wouldn't be so bad!

I am always wearing way more layers than the rest of my family and when I am out I look in wonder at people wearing t shirts etc.
I have lots of lovely clothes in my wardrobe that never get worn because I dont feel warm enough to put them on! It isn't helped that we live in a old house that is always cold.

The only time I wasn't cold was when I was pregnant and for a few months after! Mind you my AS was not active during that period either.

My hands are always cold too unless I have been really active.
On the plus side cold hands (so long as they are not numb with cold) are good for craft work such as working with fabric sewing etc as the fabric doesn't get grubby from sweaty hands (something I only appreciated when teaching other people!). No choclatey hands for me either smile

I find the best thing is a very hot bath it warms me up and I seem to be able to store the heat for a while hot water bottle style.
